Process
Innovation
Testa Corporation was one of the first demolition contractors
to dismantle and remove elevated railroad and public
transportation structures in the City of Boston and
first to use a 'cut and carry' system. This system involved
surgically removing large sections of elevated super-structures
to nearby staging yards for complete dismantling. This
system was implemented for public safety as well as
environmental reasons as projects took place in busy
urban centers. The process consists of lead and hazardous
material containment, dust and debris suppression and
the exacting shearing and removal of individual structural
members.
In
the 1970's Testa Dismantling and Site Contractors was
one of the first contractor to use real-time networked
field communications. This system allows for continuous
interaction among operators during active jobs for safety
and systematic orchestration.
Mobilization
Testa Corporation has the unique ability to mobilize
its equipment force to any point in the United States
with the utmost of ease. Utilizing its own truck transport
carriers inland contracts can be easily attained. Additionally,
Testa possesses a fleet of tugboats and barges for marine-based
operations. By utilizing this equipment, transport of
equipment is easily implemented to any location on the
Eastern Seaboard or in the Gulf of Mexico.
This
mobilization has allowed Testa Dismantling and Site
Contractors to complete many marine projects for less
what it would cost for local contractors, having to
rent or charter additional equipment
As
of this writing Testa Corporation has mobilized its
equipment force by every means available with the exception
of airlift.
